Odyssey Technical Solutions has an immediate opening in its Round Rock, Texas facility for an Engineering Manager!
The winning candidate will manage and motivate RF Engineers, QA Engineers, Electrical Engineers, and Electronic Technicians in order to complete engineering priorities and goals in a high volume electronics repair floor. Responsibilities include managing and driving multiple high priority projects to completion, maintain a high level of moral, coordinate resources and communicate with other groups as needed, and manage various HR tasks for the group.
Candidates should have 5+ years experience managing engineering teams, be a self starter, enthusiastic, possess a "can do" attitude, and be able to lead by example. Candidates with interest in HAM radio or have previous experience with RF Amplifiers (most classes), RF Generators, Automatic Tuning Networks, and Microwave Generators are preferred.

Odyssey Technical Solutions has an immediate opening for an experienced RF Engineer in Round Rock, TX. Desirable candidate should have a BSEE or MSEE degree with 5+ years of relevant experience. Experience in all aspects of Design, Reverse Engineering, and Analysis of RF Generators, Tuning Networks, and Microwave generators is preferred. Skills necessary are Circuit Design, Circuit Analysis, PCB Prototyping, Schematic Capture, PCB Layout, Thermal Analysis, Impedance Matching, Mechanical prototyping, and Component evaluation. RF power levels typically to 10kW with frequency ranges to 100MHz. Equipment applications vary widely but are generally used to generate and sustain Plasma loads for Films Deposition, Etching, and Coatings in a variety of industries including Semiconductor Processing, Medical Imaging, Industrial Coatings, and Photovoltaic panels. Engineer will be part of an Engineering Team. Experience with Impedance Matching, various Amplifier Classes, and Filter designed for 1kW and greater is a plus. Candidate should also have experience utilizing test equipment such as Network and Spectrum analyzers and be able to build test fixtures as necessary. Candidate should also possess a strong work ethic and maintain a positive attitude.

This position is for candidates that have an Associates Degree in Electronics or Military Equivalent and may have 0-2 years of relevant work experience. The candidate must be able to comprehend electronic schematics, use a multitude of test equipment, be able to solder and de-solder a variety of components, be able to troubleshoot failures using education and experience, be customer focused and emphasize quality workmanship, and work well within a team environment.
